Hybrid Space and Submarine Architecture to Ensure Information Security of Telecommunications (HEIST)
This paper presents HEIST, a hybrid architecture designed to improve the resilience of undersea communications by pairing enhanced subsea monitoring with emergency rerouting through commercial satellite networks when submarine cables are disrupted.
I contributed to this work as a bachelor’s undergraduate student at Cornell. The project brought together collaborators across multiple universities and institutions working on resilient communications, cybersecurity, and critical infrastructure.
